What does the study entail?

Eligibility

Phone Screening

In order to determine your eligibility, you will have a 15-minute call with a member of our research team

Intake Session

First, you will come into our lab for a 3-hour intake session, which will include various surveys and interviews.

Study Sessions

First MRI Scan

A few weeks after your intake session, you will come into the lab for another 3-hour session in which we will scan your brain in an MRI while you look at images of alcohol and rate your level of craving.

Online Trainings

Over the three weeks following your MRI scan, we will help you complete four web-based training sessions at home. Each will take approximately 1-hour and take place via Zoom.

Second MRI Scan

After completing all of the training sessions, we will bring you back into the lab for another MRI scan session that will be nearly identical to the first.

Virtual Follow-Up

Approximately 10-weeks after your second scan, we will do a 1-1.5 hour follow-up session with you via Zoom.

Daily Smartphone Surveys

During parts of the study we will have you respond to brief, daily surveys via an app on your smartphone.
